Hello world!
After two weeks Spaceman is finally letting me touch him. This is a big step up from the ‘keck keck’ sounds I was getting in the first few days. When giving him treats, instead of holding it near his mouth I put it on my palm or wrist so he has to climb on me. He is also letting me pat him now! Ohhhhhhh he’s so soft. I can’t wait until I can have him on my lap and watch T.V.
Last week we also introduced a litter box so our wee man is potty training. Everyday I have to scoop all his poop into the litter box. At the end of the day I have to pick out the poop and leave a few fresh ones. With a lot of patience he’ll get there…I hope!
I can’t wait to let him out of the cage to exercise in the spare room but I’m scared we wont be able to catch him. I’m not quite sure how long I should wait to let him out for the first time. We bought a bird catching net the other day so we can catch him quickly without chasing him around the room and stressing him out!
